Upload Inventory (Important)
After the product import is complete, follow these steps to upload your inventory.
Step 1 — Open Inventory CSV File
Open the downloaded Inventory CSV file in Excel or Google Sheets.
Step 2 — Find the Location Column
Locate the column named "Location" in the CSV file.
Step 3 — Update Location Name
Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Locations and copy the exact location name.
👉 Example: If your Shopify location is Chennai Warehouse, the CSV Location value must also be Chennai Warehouse — exact match required.
Step 4 — Save the File
After updating all rows, save the file in CSV format.
Step 5 — Upload Inventory File
Go to Products → Inventory and upload the updated inventory CSV.
Shopify Inventory Update — Important Notes
If your products have the same handle, you can directly import the inventory CSV file into Shopify.
If the handle name has been changed, the inventory update will not work. Update the handle using the correct SKU, then re-import the inventory CSV.
Make sure the location name in the CSV matches exactly with the location name in your Shopify store.
Sometimes bulk upload may not work properly. Try re-importing the file. If the issue continues, contact Shopify Support.
